Hand made Stained Glass Lampshade

These lamps are made using the traditional Tiffany studios technique of hand cutting the glass using the pattern or design as a template. After the glass pieces are cut they lined with copper foil.  The copper foil protects the glass and enables the adherence of the solder. This is a detailed process and takes patience and precision. The pieces are then soldered together with a tin or lead or zinc based solder.

The handmade nature of these lamps means that you will get  a unique design – the colors of the glass have minor variations giving a unique and interesting design. No two stained glass lamps are the same.

We love the design and feel of this lamp. It is not flashy or showy. It is kind of subtle, but still very beautiful. As a mad fan of everything Art Deco, we love the genuine Art Deco design themes. It could easily fit on the moves set of ‘The Great Gatsby’ or any other location from the 1920s.

The colors are warm and attractive. It does not shock the senses with overbearing reds or blues.  The earthy tones and natural colors work together well – the copper and amber set against the cream and yellow looks great.

The build quality on this lamp is really quite good. If you are spending around $130, you will be very pleased with the level of quality in this lamp. Sure, you can find lamps that cost about four times as much as this, but pleasure you will receive from this lamp is well worth the monetary outlay.

What We Don’t Like About Bieye Tiffany Style Stained Glass Table Lamp

We do love everything about this. One review stated that the glass was plastic. This does not seem to be true. Plastic would not survive the fabrication process with the heat required for soldering. You can do the scratch test to confirm that the glass is in fact glass.
